MCA Mulhat A.K.A Madam Mully is an Aspirant for Shimanzi Ward Mombasa. Born and raised in Mombasa she has firsthand experience of the hustle and the challenges facing the people of Mombasa. Mully made a life for her and her family despite the challenges of starting a business selling various products from Dubai. Mulhat managed to run and make it a stable and huge business until today. Besides Business, she has a big heart that drives her to help the less fortunate whenever she can. It hurts her to watch her people, Family and Friends stay idle without jobs especially the youth. As a mother her motive is to bring changes to society; “No I refuse to allow this trend of Parents educating their kids to acquire certificates which will then rot ‘kwa Kabati’ because of unemployment.’’ She continued to emphasize on this issue during the interview session. She will create projects that will offer jobs to the youths and women. From her voice, I could tell that she really wants to make changes that don’t involve the youth and Wazee sitting idle taking drugs until their mouths turn blue especially at Bondeni. Whenever she visits that area she always advises them to stop using drugs, instead, turn their lives more useful. They complain that there is nothing else they can do to fight stress and depression caused by the problems in the county. So she asked them to open up businesses that can help them earn a living, but they lack the capital to open up businesses. Madam Mully went ahead and helped them with the capital in which some started selling freshwater, among other Businesses. By doing this she has created a huge impact in their lives, they are currently clean from drugs and busy with their new business ventures. In my opinion, this is the kind of leader we need, who goes out of her way to do something bigger than herself. So far she has managed to help a few and they are clean from drugs. Her goal is to bring significant changes together with the new upcoming government should you vote for her. She has always been behind the scenes as a campaign office Rep in a couple of previous elections and yet no major changes are done on their end, that is why she urges us to give her a chance to make an Impact ‘we are talking big moves.’ At the moment she is advocating for the weak at Shimanzi, Floringi, Bondeni, and Mombasa in General.
